About The Organisation
The Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers (RABDF) is the dedicated voice of dairy farmers.
We are the only dairy charity with proud royal patronage. For 150 years, our work has focused entirely on progressing the business of dairy farming.
Organisation Overview
The RABDF is funded by its membership of dairy farmers, professionals and corporate businesses and through the income generated from its programme of events.
Our activities span every aspect of the dairy industry, including:
- Advocacy and influence to help shape the policies that impact dairy farming
- Championing the positive contribution British dairying makes to the economy and society
- Progressing dairy farming through initiatives such as our "Entrepreneurs in Dairying" programme, which provides aspiring dairy producers with comprehensive training in business management, finance, and succession planning
- Events to promote and inspire excellence in dairy, from the RABDF / NMR Gold Cup to our Women in Dairy network, offering platforms for knowledge exchange and community building within the sector
- Promoting the uptake of innovation, science, data and technology through our flagship annual Dairy-Tech event
- Nurturing the next generation of dairy farmers with our renowned dairy student and innovation awards; celebrating talent and leadership in the industry
- Working with and through others to promote dairy farmers’ interests across a range of important issues such as regulation, environment, animal health and welfare, trade and supply chains, ensuring a holistic approach to industry challenges
