Coleg Cambria Llysfasi is located in the Vale of Clwyd, near Ruthin, North Wales, very close to Cheshire, Shropshire and Powys with easy access to North and Mid Wales.

Industry leaders in land-based education and with a long-standing reputation in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Countryside and Forestry and Animal Care and Management, Llysfasi delivers further education courses and apprenticeships. Llysfasi is based on a 970 acre farm and has three main enterprises; beef, sheep and dairy which includes our £1m dairy unit.

Facilities include:

  • Mixed livestock enterprises including dairy, beef and sheep

  • 250 pedigree Fresian/Holstein herd 

  • Links and partnerships with industry,  major dealer networks and machinery manufacturers

  • Countryside estate, commercial forestry and woodlands, delivery partner of the Tilhill diploma in Forestry and Countryside Management

  • Countryside estate and commercial forestry and woodlands

  • Extensive fleet of vehicles, tractors, field machinery and equipment for training purposes.

  • Purpose built Agricultural Teaching Centre with laboratory facilities

  • Industry Standard Engineering workshops and latest technology, rigs and tractors. Delivery partner of AGCO and Kubota apprenticeships.

  • Well equipped Animal Care & Management Centre with over 200 animals, including Collar and Comb specialist dog grooming academy and hedgehog rehabilitation centre.

Courses:

Level 1 & 2 Diploma in Land-based Industries (including Farm & Woodland Skills and Livestock & Machinery)  

Level 2 Technical Certificate in Agriculture 

Level 3 Advanced Technical Extended Diploma in Precision Agriculture - Mechanisation & Livestock Routes 

Level 2 & 3 Diploma Apprenticeship in Work Based Agriculture with the choice of a Livestock Production or Mixed Farming pathway.
