RABDF Prince Philip Award goes to Herdwatch
Herdwatch, of Roscrea, County Tipperary, is the winner of the RABDF Prince Philip Award. The company’s winning Herdwatch Farming App is designed to make compliance recording easy, and place information at farmers fingertips in order to make informed decisions at the right time, and save hours on paperwork.
Chairman of judges and RABDF Council member Guy Trehane commented: “Herdwatch Farming App, is a simple piece of low-tech that meets the needs of these cash strapped times. The hand held data device uses the everyday technology of a smart phone and iCloud to store and download dairy data that can be tapped into by any member of a farm team who is equipped with a modern mobile telephone, even those of us with fat fingers and rubber gloves.”
