Stand bookings now open for Dairy-Tech

Stand space bookings are now open for Dairy-Tech, the brand new technical one-day event announced earlier this month by the Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers (RABDF). Held on 7 February 2018 at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, Dairy-Tech will be a new concept for the dairy industry, focusing on science, technology, and the cutting edge tools to support a wide range of systems.

Matthew Knight, managing director RABDF, said research into the events currently on offer to the dairy sector alongside the changing needs of exhibitors, members and visitors, revealed the time was right for a new approach; the aim of Dairy-Tech was for exhibitors to have the chance to show clients a different side of their business.

He explained: “We’re still going to have the things you’d expect to see at a trade event: technical seminars, product launches, learning opportunities and networking. But there will be a heavy focus on what’s new and upcoming in the industry, on new ideas and on future possible trends. It will be the place to launch your products, announce your latest research, and show off prototype ideas and equipment. We want exhibitors to feel courageous and visitors to feel inspired and challenged.

“To support this, exhibitors who take a stand will also have the opportunity to showcase upcoming innovation in the ‘Dragons Den’ concept area, where visitors can road-test and review, giving you immediate feedback. Companies exhibiting will also have preference on speaker slots and other sponsorship packages to increase their presence.”

He added that another new feature for Dairy-Tech is all visitors would be able to request a personalised itinerary before the event to direct them to the stands offering relevant products and services. Exhibitors will be able to record new business leads using scanners to ensure details are captured quickly and efficiently.

Exhibitors can book clear space or a shell scheme package which includes a pre-built stand, electricity, lighting and carpet at a competitive price. Preferential rates are available for 2016 Livestock Event exhibitors with new exhibitors also receiving a discount until the end of June.

RABDF Corporate Members are entitled to a 10% discount on stand space (up to £300), 10 free tickets and, as part of the new RABDF strategy, can ‘Have their say’ and raise issues with council to be escalated to the Dairy All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) where appropriate.  RABDF provides the joint secretariat for the APPG which informs ministers and politicians on dairy related issues.

Dairy-Tech has already gained industry support with Barclays confirming their Principal Sponsorship. World Wide Sires will sponsor global speakers, Lely will deliver a technical robotic milking demonstration and NMR will support the event marketing.
