RABDF encouraged by latest MAC advice to Home Secretary

The RABDF welcomes the latest views from the Migration Advisory Committee included in their letter to the Home Secretary earlier this week.

These views outline how mid-skilled overseas workers need to be recognised as valuable, as should their needs in British life.  It also mentions lowering the salary threshold from £35,000 to £25,000 – another positive acknowledgement towards mid-skilled workers and their place in our society.

Tim Brigstocke, RABDF policy director, says the latest information from the MAC is a major change of direction from their previous comments.

“It is reassuring to see the MAC finally taking on board comments and feedback from the industry and especially important as we try to move forward to create a sustainable and profitable dairy sector.”
