Wiltshire College & University Centre has decades of experience in delivering high-level training in Agriculture. Lackham, the College’s specialist campus for land-based study, has recently seen a £9m investment into teaching facilities for Agricultural Technology from the Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership. Lackham’s Home Farm is now home to a robotic milking parlour built by TH WHITE using market-leading De Laval software, and a new AgriTech Hub hosting modern teaching labs sits at the heart of the campus.
As a result of this investment, Lackham is now able to offer unique qualifications in Dairy Engineering, supported by the partnership with De Laval. These are part-time and full-time HNC/Ds in Dairy Engineering, awarded by Pearson.
All courses relevant to the dairy industry are as follows:
· Access to Agriculture (Level 1)
· Agriculture (Level 2)
· Agriculture (Level 3)
· Farm Mechanisation (Level 3)
· Stockperson Apprenticeship (Level 2)
· HNC/D Agriculture (Dairy Engineering) (part time and full time)
