If global market forecasts are correct, then yes, we’re in for a tough year in 2015, however we anticipate there’s some light starting to emerge at the end of the tunnel.
Whilst there’s little we can do to influence world markets, RABDF is currently keeping at the forefront of industry issues with those who have an influence; we are actively informing and delivering facts behind the scenes; we’re accessing those people who can make a difference. We’re also working along with other industry organisations to get support from processors, retailers, government and the public.
One of RABDF’s current activities is our work with the All Party Parliamentary Group for Dairy which provides us direct access to MPs to discuss immediate dairy farming issues, as well as those which will benefit producers in the future.
Wishing you the very best for the New Year in the knowledge that the long term prospects for dairy continue to remain very positive.
Ian Macalpine, RABDF Chairman
